Hyperthyroidism in Graves’ disease (GD) is caused by thyroid-stimulating autoantibodies to the TSH receptor. Hypothyroidism in Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) is associated with thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin autoantibodies. Transformation of HT to GD has been rarely reported.
